Since I was young I have admired Renaissance-time artists: "When a man was able to be an painter, an sculptor, an architect, and engineer at the same time!"
Irina Žagata
- Graduated the Latvian Medical Academy, Medical faculty on 1997.
- Obtained ophthalmologist qualification on 2000 and have been practicing since that.
- Graduated the Arts Department, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Arts on 2011.
- Graduated Master’s studies at the Latvian University Physics and Math faculty on 2014.
For four years, along with academic education, I developed my skills in drawing in a private studio of the famous and very talented Latvian painter Ludmila Perecs. Also, for more then ten years I have been attending private painting classes with the legendary and, in my opinion, ingenious painter Vladimir Kozin.
Since 2009 I have participated in many group exhibitions.
Many of my paintings are in private collections (including in Norway, Greece, USA etc.)
